Does my child need an account?
No. Open the app and start practising straight away. An optional one-time setup lets you set a name, year group and target school so the questions adapt correctly.
Is SharpY Mind official or affiliated with any exam board?
No. SharpY Mind is an independent revision aid built by a parent/tutor. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or produced by Sutton SET, GL Assessment, ISEB, or any school named in the app. Those names are shown only to help you pick the right practice format.
Where is my child's data stored?
Entirely on your own device, in the browser's local storage. Nothing is sent to a server. Use the built-in Backup/Restore buttons to move progress between devices.
Is there anything for parents, not just kids?
Yes — the Parent Report, protected by a quick one-time email code (or your family account password) so it stays a grown-up-only section. It shows curriculum mastery by topic, the weakest areas to focus on next, and a mock-test trend line over time, all built from the same practice data, just reframed for a parent rather than a child.
Does it work on phones and tablets?
Yes — SharpY Mind is fully responsive and works in any modern browser on phone, tablet or desktop. No app store download needed.
My school uses GL Assessment or ISEB, not Sutton SET — is this still useful?
Yes. Choose your target school (or "Not sure yet") in Settings and SharpY Mind adjusts automatically, including turning on Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning practice for boards that test them.
Is it really free?
Yes, while SharpY Mind is in early access. See the Access section above for what that means going forward.
